This custom-designed, 6,000 sq. ft. project presented a multitude of challenges to Girsh Development. While reforming a routine soil log, we discovered that the water table was much higher than anticipated and thus, the basement slab would have to be waterproofed; a highly unusual procedure for residential construction. The waterproof was successful, as born out in the fact that no leaks were detected. Since completion, the client has finished the basement into a beautiful in-home retreat area.
In addition, the client had already sold his previous home and was living in temporary housing with his four children, increasing the necessity for us to complete the house on schedule. This being a custom home with several significant changes made to the original specifications further complicated the process. Nonetheless, without compromising whatsoever on construction quality or materials, the house was completed on time and the client moved in on schedule.
Not only were the time constraints met, but our team of talented design professionals and craftsman had created a custom home that transcended the client’s demanding goals for aesthetic and functional exclusivity.
